Fabrice Germond is awarded of a Bachelor of Engineering
in Yacht and Powercraft Design from the Southampton Institute, and a
Mechanical Engineer Diploma from the Ecole d'Ingénieurs de Genève.
After his Mechanical Engineer Diploma research made in wind tunnel for
the yacht designer Sébastien Schmidt, he designed a proto mini 6.50 and
did some towing tank tests for his Southampton Institute Design
Dissertation. After his studies, he participates in the building of
the Alinghi SUI-64, winner of the America's Cup, the building of the
Open 60' Artech 60', the building of trimaran 60's appendages and worked
as an research and development composite engineer. At the same time, he
designed and built his own mini 6.50 to do the Transat 6.50. Fascinated by sailing since his childhood, Fabrice
began cruising very early, then regatta and finally ocean racing. Fabrice Germond Yacht Design is a structure ready to
